The recent failure to pass critical amendments aimed at assisting homeless veterans is a stark reminder of the challenges we face. It is unacceptable that those who have defended our freedoms are left to navigate the complexities of our housing crisis without sufficient support. We must prioritize their needs by reassessing our state's resource allocation and policies, ensuring veterans have access to affordable housing and comprehensive healthcare.

Moreover, the economic challenges posed by inflation have only exacerbated the struggles of our veteran community. Rising costs of living hit our veterans hard, especially those on fixed incomes or transitioning back into civilian life. As a community, we must rally to provide the necessary financial and social support to allow them to thrive.
