As your candidate for Massachusetts State Representative, I am Joe Pires, deeply committed to protecting our community from the devastating impact of drug addiction.

 

Our community is facing an alarming surge in opioid use, particularly fentanyl-related deaths, which are tragically affecting our youth, especially Gen Z. Fentanyl is often unknowingly mixed into street drugs, posing a hidden danger that is claiming lives at an unprecedented rate.

 

I am ready to lead the charge in this fight. With a deep commitment to safeguarding our community, I understand the urgency of addressing this crisis head-on.

 

I propose a comprehensive approach to tackle this epidemic. This includes raising awareness about the hidden dangers of fentanyl in street drugs, implementing robust measures to curtail fentanyl distribution, and providing support systems for those affected.
